Bion

Bion Diaz, Art, Music, Alien

Hi you’ve entered the world of Bion Diaz, artist, musician and coffee addict. I have lived in New York City, San Francisco, Western Massachusetts, Paris France, and now live in “Gotham'“ Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I have a degree in fine arts and some music lessons under my belt but most of my education has been in the school of life. I have worked in mainstream and fringe theater, as a professional musician, a painter, and an engineer/ producer since the 80’s among some of the best in the business. This site is mainly a gallery of paintings done in the last 15 or so years- For more solo music go to biondiaz.bandcamp.com to listen or buy. Also check out my last band Krunkelstiltskin at ITunes and Bandcamp, or the Ron Anderson/ Molecules site at Bandcamp for a (literal) blast from the past.

My artistic “project/object” is all about revealing magic in the mundane. Materials are repurposed, accidents encouraged, things are reconfigured in nonsensical ways.. The odd details become the main show. The idea is to jolt peoples consciousness into seeing old things a new way. The hope is that once this happens it can influence other aspects of life, we become more open minded and imaginative.

Here is a list of influences to give you an idea of where I’m coming from:
